In honor of my sons 1st Birthday, I thought it was only right to open up about what happened a year ago.
Since we are on the brighter side of things, and our son is healthier than ever I wanted to be vulnerable about this experience hoping it would allow someone else to open up who may be dealing with it or need help.
Our son was unexpectedly born 3 months early and enter the word at an alarming weight of 2lbs. His rate of survival was unknown and all Chris and I had to rest on was faith.
Our son spent 82 LONG days growing up in the NICU. Milestones for us were when he had certain tubes removed, or he decided on a certain day that he would try a bottle.
I can't believe looking back on those times, when Doctors were telling us Cameron had brain bleeds, needed blood transfusions, and would have vision issues forever that our son is doing so well now and suffering from NONE of those issues.
